Mindfulness is paying attention to our experience in the present moment, with curiosity, compassion and acceptance. It helps us live life more fully by opening up new perspectives on how we react to the world. Whether you are looking to discover mindfulness from scratch or to explore it more fully, I have a course for you.

INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS- Introductory - 


3 X weekly sessions of 1 hour


 

3 weekly sessions of one hour offering a brief taste of mindfulness practice and theory.

  • We will explore the mind’s natural tendency to be scattered and to wander and how we can train attention to create choices about where and how we place attention.
  • We will experience different ways of being and knowing; recognising how much of our experience is shaped by thought.
  • We will learn about the difference between reacting and responding; developing ways to create the space to make choices between them.

This course is not being offered as a treatment for any specific physical or psychological conditions. Please do not sign up for this training if you are currently experiencing severe problems in these areas.

MINDFULNESS FOR DAILY LIFE-  Intermediate -


8 X weekly sessions of 90 minutes


 

8 weekly sessions of 90 minutes for those wishing to improve their general wellbeing.

This course is based on mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). It helps break the cycle of anxiety, stress, unhappiness and exhaustion by learning a set of simple yet powerful practices to incorporate into daily life. It is an evidence-based course, developed in the light of research at Oxford University.

Its main intention is to offer you some skills to meet life’s challenges and difficulties and to respond more skilfully to all of life’s inevitable ups and downs.

This course is not being offered as a treatment for any specific physical or psychological conditions. Please do not sign up for this training if you are currently experiencing severe problems in these areas.
