About

Hi, My name is Flo Sarlat. I am an Experienced 200-hour (E-RYT 200) and Advanced 300-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500) with Yoga Alliance International. I am also a Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).

I completed Pregnancy, Postnatal Yoga, and Yoga for Babies training. I also trained in Yoga for Children and Teen Yoga and Mindfulness.

I have specialized in yoga for addiction recovery and am qualified to teach yoga in prisons and secure homes with the Prison Phoenix Trust and the British Wheel of Yoga.

I also completed a Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Teacher Training Course with the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation. I am registered with the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA).

The benefits of yoga and mindfulness are far-reaching. More than improving flexibility and strength, yoga and mindfulness have a social, emotional, and spiritual impact on everyone who practices. However, they may occasionally trigger some strong emotions. That's why I also trained in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness and hold a Mental Health First Aid certificate. My classes are trauma-informed classes.

For four years, I volunteered with the Body and Soul charity where I taught yoga and mindfulness to young adults affected by HIV / AIDS or who have attempted suicide.

Prior to my yoga and mindfulness training, I completed an MSc in HR and Organisational Management and an MSc in Political Sciences.

You can find me in and around Totland Bay on the Isle of Wight.
