How is a meditation session going?
The meditation is simple. We just sit in silence. We don't have to do anything but be one with our breath.
Breathing is a natural action that requires no effort. But at the same time, it's an extraordinary phenomenon, the very act of life. Simply by giving ourselves a break and by breathing, we are alive.
Meditating is similar. It's a natural act that allows us to let life return, and through which we become alive once again.
If you are new to meditation, I can guide you. I have been meditating for over 10 years. I was trained in meditation in the Buddhist tradition and in mindfulness with the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation. I am also a Mental Health First Aider and trained in Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness.
At the end of each session, there is a time to share and discuss our experience and it is also an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
What do you need?
Wear comfortable clothing that don't constrict you.
You will be asked to take off your shoes when you arrive.
Chairs, matts, meditation cushions and blocks are available in the room.
Feel free to bring your favourite gear with you.
